Reticulated Foam – Outdoor Cushion Foam

Time and time again, reticulated foam has proven to be the absolute best material for making outdoor cushions, marine seat pads and more!

Our advanced, superior fire resistance, reticulated foam is manufactured using a sophisticated hydro blast reticulation process. Thanks to its wide-open cells, reticulated foam filters water like a sieve. Air can freely circulate throughout its cellular structure; resulting in an upholstery foam that dries 100% faster than regular polyurethane foam when analysed during a comparative drying test.

This fast-drying foam is available in cut to size parts and foam sheets for all your marine and outdoor upholstery projects. If you would like to speak to one of our experts about this product or any of our services, please get in touch via our contact form.

Outdoor Cushion Foam Thicknesses

You should consider thickness, depending on the type of outdoor cushion you intend to make with reticulated foam. We stock quick drying foam in a soft, medium or firm feel. For example, an outdoor day bed cushion would best be suited to a medium reticulated foam that’s 10-15cm thick. Sun lounger cushions in a firm variety can perform well at 5 – 15cm thick. Whereas soft reticulated foam is best suited to outdoor back cushions.

What is Reticulated Foam Used For?

Reticulated foam is a great choice when deciding which material to use to make outdoor cushions. Not only is it considerably faster at drying than regular upholstery foams, it’s also treated with an antimicrobial agent to prevent fungal and mould growth.

What is the Best Foam for Boat Cushions?

Reticulated foam has long been used on watercraft to make high-quality seating cushions and mattresses. Its quick drying properties around wet and humid conditions make for a great choice on any boat, ship, yacht and more.
